I thought Hongya Cave was already beautiful enough, until I went here
Don't just flock to Hongya Cave when you visit Chongqing, the Eighteen Ladder is really nice to stroll around and very Chongqing! It's even more charming at night, and I've put together a list of photo spots to share👇
【Photo Spot Sharing】
✅Eighteen Ladder Night View
Next to the window on the rooftop of Vienna Hotel at Eighteen Ladder, overlooking the entire panorama of Eighteen Ladder, it's just as good as Hongya Cave
✅Eighteen Ladder Lai De Kuai
The Chongqing national brand has already entered the next level! It has become a landmark photo spot at Eighteen Ladder, the lettered road on the ground and Factory No.2 are very similar, the interior is Chinese fashion style, super nice for photos, in addition to the must-eat wolf-tooth potatoes every time, their new products are also amazing!
✅Eighteen Ladder Night View
Below Tim’s Coffee, the unique Chongqing cave, looking out are the layered mountain cliffs and stilted buildings
✅Eighteen Ladder Night View
From the window of the teahouse in Building A5, a classic photo spot of Eighteen Ladder
✅Yu Danfeng Silver Building
It's not an AI-like scene that really exists, it's a shop that sells gold and silver jewelry, the big dragon at the door is very sci-fi for photos, and the water mist is real
✅Alley near Building C3
Saw lots of lanterns and small umbrellas, the unique layering of Chongqing, can capture the tall buildings of Sun Moon Light behind, a sense of time travel between ancient and modern

Trip to Chongqing
🚗🚗🚗Travel Itinerary:
Day1: Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street→Shancheng Alley→Chongqing Eighteen Ladders Traditional District→Chaotianmen Square
Day2: Xia Hao Old Street→Longmen Hao Old Street→Nanbin Road→Changjiahui Tiaozishi Old Street
Day3: Factory Two Creative Park→Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street→Chongqing Grand Theatre→Qiansimen Bridge
Chongqing at the end of May is like a hot version of Qingdao. With and without the sun are simply two different worlds~
Staying near Jiefangbei, the itinerary for the first day is actually within walking distance, but the weather is so hot that we took taxis all the way.
The charm of Chongqing starts to burst forth from the evening. The high-rise buildings along the two rivers, with their dazzling lights, construct a magical and splendid skyline.
The observation deck on the 42nd floor of Raffles City, with its suspended glass walkway, is a view for the brave.
I suggest to all travelers~in Chongqing, please have a good sleep in~Keep your energy, and dive into the excitement of the night~
For a leisurely trip, I recommend a walk on Nanbin Road in the evening~Make sure to hold the hand of the one you love~Because the river breeze is gentle, and everything is very tender

Chongqing is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for every photographer. It is a city suitable for city walks, where every corner brings a different surprise.
If you only have one day to visit Chongqing and want to cover the popular attractions, I suggest copying this route. It will give you enough to post for a week!
Route guide:
Daytime: Mountain City Trail→Eighteen Ladders→Bai Xiang Ju→Raffles City→Liberation Monument
Night: Hongya Cave→Qiansimen Bridge→The riverside of the Grand Theatre
Mountain City Trail:
Climb the slopes and steps to experience the charm of Chongqing's mountain city. Along the way, there are many characteristic shops, and from the viewing platform, you can see the whole river and Shuidongmen Bridge.
Eighteen Ladders:
Positioning at the north gate, you can capture the full view. This Republic of China style street has many artistic shops, but there are many steps, which is quite tiring!
Bai Xiang Ju:
The same shooting location as in 'Better Days'. The tenth floor is Bai Xiang Street, the fifteenth floor is Jiefang East Road, which is also a classic photo spot. Just follow the crowd to find the spot.

Half a day in Chongqing | With a guide
| With a guide. If you only have half a day to spend in Chongqing, I would suggest you follow this route to check in and experience the magical mountain city of Chongqing, and you'll also get a lot of nice photos✌🏻
_
Bai Xiang Ju→Bai Xiang Street Traditional Style Area→Donghua View→Shibati
_
● Previously, you shot at Bai Xiang Ju, known as the nightmare of delivery guys, where you thought the 1st floor was actually the 15th floor, and getting lost is a daily occurrence when staying at this guesthouse😂 The visiting time is about 1-1.5 hours
● Then it's about a 15-minute walk to Bai Xiang Street Traditional Style Area. Although it's newly built, the architectural style is very much of the Republic of China era, and it's quite picturesque. The visiting time is about 0.5 hours
● Next, you can walk directly to Donghua View's scripture repository, a very interesting Taoist temple that is quite niche and not well-known, 🆓 to visit, with a visiting time of about 15 minutes
● After that, you can walk to Shibati, a place that has been the setting for many films and TV shows, and it's easy to take good photos
For dinner, there's a Luo Er Niang community hotpot restaurant nearby, which tastes pretty good, and you can give it a try (I particularly like their roasted white and tender meat slices, and the dishes are quite fresh), friends from other places should definitely go for a mild spice level
Recently, it's been hot in Chongqing, so travelers coming to Chongqing, take care to stay cool

Chongqing Eighteen Ladders‖The most comprehensive travel guide to Eighteen Ladders is right here
Chongqing Eighteen Ladders nanny-level guide|||✅Attraction Introduction:
Chongqing Eighteen Ladders, originally named 'Eighteen Ladders', is so called because it has eighteen steps. It is one of the most representative old urban areas of Chongqing and also one of the most distinctive tourist attractions. Its history dates back to the Ming Dynasty, when there was a well that was exactly eighteen stone steps away from where the residents lived. The locals called it 'Eighteen Ladders', and it also connects the upper and lower halves of the old Chongqing in Yuzhong District, linking two distinct living spaces. These unique slopes and architectural forms are a testament to the local people's lives and a microcosm of Chongqing's long history.
Take a rest by the roadside when tired, and look up to see the traditional stilted buildings framed with modern skyscrapers, a cross between ancient and modern, with a strong contrast. It fully displays the unique human touch of the mountain city.
Nowadays, it is quite commercialized, but there is an Eighteen Ladders Memory Hall that you can visit, which can save some sightseeing time.

Two days are really enough for a trip to Chongqing
1️⃣ Travel Part: On the first day, visit Chongqing's Eighteen Ladder, and start with a cup of tea from Cha Yan Yue Se! Next door, there's Ba Wang Cha Ji where you can go for a stroll! My main reason for going to Eighteen Ladder was for the LINE FRIENDS store! Inside, there are cute Crocs phone cases which are really fun~ I admit the area is very commercialized! But traveling is all about walking around and looking!
Next, head to the area around the Liberation Monument and wander along the road. I originally wanted to go to Hongya Cave to enjoy the view, but it was dark by then, so I decided to walk to Raffles City! On the way there, many beautiful girls were taking photos🤳
There, I bought a cup of OneZo with a city-limited flavor! It's really about trying things that aren't available in your own city! The mall was about to close! I mainly went for the kangaroo hat and also stumbled upon a low-priced hat and snatched it up!!!
Then, I walked back along the Yangtze River Bin Road to see Hongya Cave! Wow, there were still a lot of people at that time! I heard they turn off the lights around eleven o'clock, and just as we were climbing up the mountain to head back, the lights went out! That's about it!
✨ Food Part: For the first meal, I had the 4-3 special Mao Xue Wang and Mao Dou Fu with Lin Xiang Spicy. Both are available in the same building, so you can take out spicy skewers and eat them upstairs! Mao Xue Wang is really delicious and goes well with rice😋! The spicy skewers are quite salty, you can buy a few to try. For the second meal, I ordered takeout and had Jiucun roasted brain flower, which I think is really not that impressive! Not highly recommended~
2️⃣ Travel Part: Went to Guanyinqiao to check in at the Tianjie zebra crossing! There seemed to be fewer varieties, nothing much fun! But taking the light rail🚈 to the other side of the river is really interesting! This is the charm of a mountain city⛰️
✨ Food Part: For the first meal, I had Yang Ji Long Fu's spicy chicken, which is really fragrant and delicious🤤! For the second meal, I had Xuan Hot Pot, which required a 140-minute wait!!! It's a hot pot restaurant near residential buildings, with about four tables in each small room. They call numbers, and you can queue up on your phone in advance!
.
Chongqing is really a city worth revisiting for its food🌆!
Whether walking or taking the light rail🚈, it's very convenient
(The key is to know how to read a map, which is very important!)
I will continue to bring my appetite back to this place✈️
The first time experiencing the charm of the Southwest, it's so fitting~
Goodbye Chongqing! See you next time~

Finally back from Chongqing
Preface: In Chongqing, take a taxi if you can, and don't skimp because it's cheap. The real test for your legs starts at the attractions. Don't worry about not walking enough, just wandering around any site will rack up thousands of steps.
Day1: Arrived at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at noon, the airport taxi stand has approximate distances and corresponding prices so you don't have to worry about being ripped off, just take one straight away. After dropping off the luggage at the hotel, headed straight to Guanyin Street, took a photo at the internet-famous check-in spot on the sky bridge, and then it was all about eating, eating, and more eating—lotus root slices, bobo chicken, fried potatoes, thumb-sized pan-fried buns, crispy meat, Sichuan dumplings, Peking duck, etc., couldn't stop. After a full meal, strolled around the nearby mall, and then had dinner at Kaojiang Spicy Grilled Fish (Beicheng Tianjie), lots of locals were queuing up. In the evening, took a taxi to Chongqing Grand Theatre to see the most beautiful night view of Hongya Cave, and enjoyed the evening breeze of Jialing River beside Qiansimen Bridge. Other than the crowds, it was just crowded.
Day2: Took a taxi straight to Chongqing Zoo^, how could I miss the zoo with the most giant pandas in the country. Remember to go early, otherwise, it's packed with people after 10 am. After seeing the pandas, went to eat local Chongqing cuisine at Shancheng Shifu^, generous portions, delicious and cheap. Be cautious with the devil frog, it's so spicy it'll make your head smoke. In the afternoon, walked down the Shancheng Trail^, definitely start from the top and go down. (No need to see the air-raid shelter, it's a waste of legs and there's nothing to see) There's also a variety of food and drinks along the way. In the evening, just found a small local restaurant to fill up and then went for a leg massage to relax.
Day3: In the morning, went to the city center to check out Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street^, had lunch at nearby Zhou Xiaoming Hotpot·Shijijianghu (Jiefangbei Store)^, then walked all the way to Chongqing Eighteen Ladders Traditional Style Area^, after exploring, took the Two Rivers Ferry to Danzishi Old Street from Hongya Cave^, kept walking and walking, Longmenhao Old Street along the way is worth visiting, and walked all the way to Changjiang Cableway^ back to Yuzhong. (Be sure to book in advance, the queue can be thousands of people, the experience is not very good, it's okay not to take it). For dinner, had Xiba Shu Gold Coin Beef Tripe Skewers (Guanyin Bridge Store)^, just a few cents per skewer. After a full meal, went to Beicheng Tianjie for a couple of drinks to experience Chongqing's nightlife, and the next day woke up naturally, had a bowl of Chongqing noodles, bought some local products, packed up, and flew to Shanghai.
Summary: There's no need to visit every internet-famous spot, just do what feels comfortable. Chongqing's spiciness is not as intense as imagined, and mild spiciness is generally acceptable. Ate a lot, saw a lot in three days and nights, just felt sorry for those tired old legs.

Chongqing's Eighteen Ladders, passing through your whole world
Chongqing's Eighteen Ladders became explosively popular after the movie 'Passing Through Your World' starring Deng Chao. It has undergone a major renovation and now presents a completely different scene. Although it has lost the old street feel, it has taken on the new look of Chongqing.
Getting there from the Liberation Monument is very convenient. Just walk to the opposite side of the Jiaochangkou subway station and take the elevator, or you can directly take the subway to Jiaochangkou, and you'll find the Eighteen Ladders right out of the subway, making transportation particularly convenient.
It is recommended to go from the direction of the Liberation Monument, as this way you will be going down the stairs. If you come from the direction of Bai Xiang Ju, you will be going up the stairs, so it is advised that going down the stairs might be better.

Chongqing Tour | Taking you into the unique romance of the mountain city
💥 Traveling with my bestie in Chongqing, we traversed the magical time tunnel of the mountain city🌆
This city, full of magical charm, feels like being in a time tunnel.
🏢 🌆 On the first day, we first checked in at the Raffles City building, a skyscraper that stands like a guardian over the city, overlooking the whole of Chongqing. Standing on the top of the building, the beauty of the entire city is in full view, it's simply breathtaking!
-
🏙️ 🎉 Then we came to the Jiefangbei, this iconic building made me feel the prosperity and bustle of Chongqing. Here, I tasted authentic Chongqing snacks and felt the unique charm of this city.
-
🏞️ 🚶♀️ Daijiaxiang, this alley full of historical charm, seemed to take me back to ancient Chongqing. The bluestone pavement, the quaint buildings, everything was enchanting.
-
🚤 🌊 The Two Rivers Tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Chongqing. On the cruise ship, I admired the spectacular view of the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, and felt the beauty of Chongqing's mountains and rivers.
-
🍲 🔥 Speaking of Chongqing, how can we not mention hotpot? Beibu Garden Hotpot, this highly praised hotpot restaurant, allowed me to fully experience the charm of Chongqing hotpot. Spicy, fresh, and fragrant, it's unforgettable!
-
🏨 🌃 Lastly, I stayed at the Pu Shi Hotel at Shiba Ti, an art-filled hotel that made me feel the warmth of home. Here, I spent an unforgettable night.

The Mid-Autumn Festival in Chongqing is so romantic!! I saw Chang'e at Shiba Ti
The first day of the holiday, I went out to join the fun, and unexpectedly encountered 'Chang'e descending to earth'
There was also a solo dance by Chang'e, accompanied by the ancient sound of a zither, which was too fairy-like, and I was mesmerized.
There were also many young men and women in Hanfu parading around, giving the feeling of traveling back to ancient times to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
As evening approached, the lights at Shiba Ti were lit for the first time, and the lights were so beautiful that I couldn't help but take many photos. The atmosphere of Mid-Autumn Festival was perfectly captured, with a very national style beauty.
Today, this place was really packed with people, and I felt the enthusiasm of tourists from other places❤️🔥
I've organized a few check-in spots👇
🏮 Shanguo Night Lantern
🏮 Yojing Exhibition
🏮 Food Street Corner Cat
🏮 Red Hanging Banners
🏮 D Area Square
Recently, D Area of Shiba Ti has opened up, offering more places to explore. I've been looking forward to several hotpot restaurants in D Area for a long time, such as Kong Liang, Qipin, and also 18 Warehouse, which has a collection of trendy brands. It's so happy to pick out clothes😃

The hotel at Jiefangbei Shibati is truly worth it!
My cousin's family came from Jiangsu to visit Chongqing!!
As her younger sister, I took them to visit places like Hongya Cave and Jiefangbei, etc.
Just so happened there was a hotel near Shibati!
So I thought of staying here, and continue the tour the next day🤩
The hotel I arranged for them didn't disappoint at all.
Since they are a family of four, I chose a family room for them haha
It's really warm and cute! Who wouldn't love such a pink and tender room
And you can even take a bath! The overall environment is pretty good.
It's right inside Shibati, after waking up the next day and having breakfast, you can continue the tour, isn't that delightful!

Chongqing | Experience a snack street where you can eat till you're stuffed for just 100 yuan
Once you're in Chongqing, you definitely have to try the local snacks!
A friend recommended the Shibati Delicious Street to me,
and the first thing I tried was the pickled intestines and tofu pudding from this shop right at the entrance.
I heard this place is super popular!
Later, I also had some drinks with Chongqing characteristics and many other snacks.
Everyone can also try this kudzu root crisp – my friend loves it so much he asked me to bring him two packs.
The trotter rice I had was absolutely amazing!
If you come to Chongqing, you must visit this place.
You can enjoy food with Chongqing characteristics and also bring back some local specialties for your family and friends.

The Soul of the Mountain City - Chongqing Eighteen Ladders
Chongqing Eighteen Ladders, located at No. 1 Zhongxing Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing City, with the company of the Yangtze River, is affectionately called "Chongqing's Back Garden". The mountains there are steep, the architectural style is unique, and it is known as the "soul of the mountain city".
The name of the Eighteen Ladders can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. At that time, there was a well there. It only took eighteen steps of stone ladders to walk from the door of the residents' house, so the locals called it "Eighteen Ladders". This place is like a connector, connecting the upper and lower halves of the Yuzhong District, connecting two completely different lifestyles. Those unique slopes and buildings are a testament to the lives of the locals and a microcosm of Chongqing's history.
The scenery of the Eighteen Ladders is also top-notch. Standing on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the entire city of Chongqing, you can see the prosperity of the city and the integration of mountains and rivers. Especially at night, the city lights are brilliant, and the river is shining with soft light, just like a beautiful scroll.

To really enjoy your trip to Chongqing, you must buy freshly fried hot pot base!!
Since you're in Chongqing, of course, you have to try the hot pot base here at the Eighteen Ladders!!
There's a big pot at the entrance! It's freshly fried with 14 kinds of spices, and it smells so good🤤 After 6 hours of frying, it's neatly placed piece by piece! The key is that it tastes great, the butter flavor is enough numb and authentic!
Local people often repurchase it for hot pot at home!! For friends from other places, choose mild spicy!!

Chongqing Eighteen Ladders | The passage between the upper and lower half of the city, the memory of history
Eighteen Ladders, located in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, situated near the Liberation Monument Jiaochangkou, is the passage connecting the upper and lower half of Chongqing. The upper half of the city is now Jiaochangkou and the Liberation Monument, and the lower half is Nanjimen and Jinzimen. Today, people only know about the Liberation Monument, but not about the Eighteen Ladders; historically, the Eighteen Ladders came first, followed by the Liberation Monument.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Chongqing was the gateway to Sichuan, with convenient transportation by land and water. Many merchants stopped here for transit, and the area from the lower half of the city to Chaotianmen was prosperous, while the area from the Eighteen Ladders to the upper half of the city was relatively remote. With the prosperity of commerce, people also began to live and work in the upper half of the city, and the Eighteen Ladders became the passage connecting the upper and lower half of the city.
From the foot of the mountain to the top, the stone steps layer upon layer upwards, the Eighteen Ladders connect the upper and lower half of the Yuzhong Peninsula, and is the city card of old Chongqing. After Zhongxing Road and Kaixuan Road were built, the Eighteen Ladders no longer became the main passage connecting the upper and lower half of the city.
After the reform and opening up, represented by the Liberation Monument pedestrian street, Chongqing's economy and urban construction developed rapidly, and the once prosperous Eighteen Ladders gradually fell silent.
Chongqing General Town Hall, Hanfu Courtyard, Houchi Street No. 95, French Consulate, Match Factory... Through the Eighteen Ladders, we seem to be able to see a part of Chongqing's Bayu local history, immigration history, opening history, war of resistance history, and urban development history.
Liu Hongsheng, Feng Yuxiang, Yu Youren, Xu Beihong, Xu Yuanbai, Liu Yuanan and other political celebrities, elegant scholars, and wealthy businessmen have left their footprints in the Eighteen Ladders.
On June 5, 1941, Japanese planes bombed the Eighteen Ladders, Yanwu Hall and Shihui City air-raid shelter, causing suffocation and trampling casualties among the refugees, resulting in the shocking 'Jiaochangkou Massacre'.
The transformed and upgraded Eighteen Ladders, with its unique features and appearance, are presented to people. The district's bars, coffee shops, gourmet shops, western restaurants, etc., as well as Chongqing's local old shops, can feel the strong folk customs and ancient historical deposits from any angle.

On the first day of the holiday, I chose to come to the Eighteen Ladders.
The theme of the Song Dynasty makes this place more beautiful than usual.
The crowds, the bustling market,
And the occasional encounter with a Hanfu little sister holding a lantern
All give me a sense of happiness of national peace and prosperity.

Two years later, yesterday, I accompanied my friends from other places to visit again. Some new shops have opened, and some holiday lantern decorations have been added, which look better~
🏮【Transform into Song Rhyme Old Street】
Looking at the history of the Eighteen Ladder, it started from the stone ladder official road in the Southern Song Dynasty, connecting the upper and lower cities and activating traffic. The upcoming Mid-Autumn National Day holiday, the Eighteen Ladder directly takes us back to the time of the Song Dynasty: ancient lantern decorations, Song-style scroll corridors, good luck wishes, koi lantern night tour, Mid-Autumn lantern riddles interaction, and ancient costume NPC interaction and surprise gifts! Full of expectations~ (September 26-October 6 are all)
⭐⭐In addition, some new shops have opened in the ABC area (Jincheng Shouxiu, Buyaoju, vegetarian restaurant), and the D area has also opened (Zuiwengju, Kongliang eel hot pot, martial arts health hall, sunset bar, doll catcher...) That health hall is very eye-catching, and the outside of the door is a huge 'Rulai Palm', which feels a mysterious power from the ancient East! In short, there are more good places to visit and eat~
